Welcome to Miss Haley's classroom website!
About Me - I grew up in Buffalo, NY and went to college at SUNY Fredonia. After finishing my degree in childhood education, a few of my friends and I took a road trip down to North Carolina where we all got hired teaching at the same school! I packed up my car and moved down to teach fifth grade in Harnett County. After two years, I decided to move closer to Raleigh working at Wildwood Forest Elementary where I taught for three years (2 in fourth grade and then 1 in fifth grade). After hearing how amazing year round schools were, I decided to make yet another move to Pleasant Union where I am very excited to be teaching fifth grade on track two for the second year!

Being from Buffalo, I am a HUGE Buffalo Bills fan! I love watching them play every Sunday and going to a game whenever I can.
I graduated in May from UNC Chapel Hill with a Master's Degree in literacy. My goal is to help all students find a love for reading. I am a firm believer in using technology in the classroom and working with hands-on learning.
I can't wait for a great school year!
